Who we are

Lightpiece is a community app for sharing Christian testimonies. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may process:

• Account details from Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple on iOS (email, name, profile photo when provided, and a provider user id).
• Profile details you provide (display name, date of birth, country, and optional brief).
• Content you publish (testimonies, responses, and media you upload).
• Reports you submit, members you block, Contact us messages, and moderation records needed to keep the community safe.
• Donation-related records processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers on our servers).
• Device push token (when you allow notifications), online presence, and last-seen time.
• Technical signals used for security (such as app integrity challenges and rate-limit data).

How we use information

We use this information to:

• Operate the app, show your profile and content, and sync activity in near real time.
• Send in-app and mobile push notifications (we do not send email alerts).
• Moderate spam, promotions, and off-mission content.
• Process voluntary donations and related receipts through Stripe.
• Protect the service against abuse and unauthorized clients.

Sharing

Content you publish (including your display name and profile) can be seen by other members and by guests who browse the app.

Content you publish may be featured on the Lightpiece landing page, and may be printed and shared free of charge to reach more people.

You can share testimonies anonymously, and reply anonymously to any post. Your name and profile photo are then hidden from other members, guests, and moderators; only our lead administrators can see who wrote them, so they can keep the community safe.

We use service providers that process data on our behalf, including Google (sign-in), Stripe (donations), and Expo / Apple / Google push infrastructure for notifications.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of the community.

Retention

We keep account and content data while your account is active and as needed for moderation, security, and legal obligations. Soft-deleted or moderated content may remain in internal records for audit.

Suspended accounts remain listed for our lead administrators so public content from that person can stay hidden.

Your choices

You can edit profile details in Settings, unpublish your brief, delete content you own, sign out, or permanently delete your account from Settings (this removes your profile and content).

You can block a member from their post, reply, or profile, and unblock them from Settings. Blocking hides their content from you and sends the content you blocked them from to our moderators for review. The member is not told you blocked them.

You can control push notification permission in your device settings.

Guests may browse without an account; signing in is required for sharing, flagging, Q&A, and profile features.

Children

You must be at least 13 to use Lightpiece. Do not create an account if you are under 13.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
