Privacy Policy

Effective 26 August 2026 · Lightpiece

This page describes how Lightpiece handles personal information.

Who we are

Lightpiece is a community app for sharing Christian perspectives and testimonies. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Questions about this policy can be sent through Contact us in the About tab of the app.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may process:

How we use information

We use this information to:

Sharing

Content you publish (including your display name and profile) can be seen by other members and by guests who browse the app.

We use service providers that process data on our behalf, including Google (sign-in), Stripe (donations), and Expo / Apple / Google push infrastructure for notifications.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of the community.

Retention

We keep account and content data while your account is active and as needed for moderation, security, and legal obligations. Soft-deleted or moderated content may remain in internal records for audit.

Suspended accounts remain listed for administrators so public content from that person can stay hidden.

Your choices

You can edit profile details in Settings, unpublish your brief, delete content you own, sign out, or permanently delete your account from Settings (this removes your profile and content).

You can control push notification permission in your device settings.

Guests may browse without an account; signing in is required for sharing, flagging, Q&A, and profile features.

Children

Lightpiece is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Do not create an account if you are under that age.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
