Child Safety Standards

Effective 2 October 2026 · Lightpiece

Lightpiece’s standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), and how to report it.

Zero tolerance

Lightpiece has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This content and behaviour are prohibited everywhere in the app: in testimonies, replies, briefs, profiles, photos, videos and messages to us.

You must be at least 13 to use Lightpiece. Accounts we find belong to someone under 13 are removed.

What is prohibited

You may not use the app to post, share, request or link to:

How to report it

In the app, tap the ⋮ menu on a testimony, reply or member’s brief, tap Report, describe what you saw, and tap Submit report. Reports go straight to our moderators.

You can also block the member from the same menu or their profile. Blocking hides their content from you and sends it to our moderators for review. They are not told you blocked them.

Without the app, or to tell us more, write to us through Contact us at the bottom of this page. Do not attach or forward the abusive images themselves; describe where they are instead.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency number first.

What we do

Every report is reviewed within 24 hours. Reports of CSAE are reviewed first.

Content that breaks these standards is removed, and the account behind it is suspended. A suspended account cannot sign in again with the same email or sign-in provider.

We report child sexual abuse material and child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and to the relevant law enforcement authorities, as the law requires. We keep the records needed to support those reports and answer legal requests.

Sharing anonymously does not protect anyone from this. Our lead administrators can see who wrote anonymous content and include it in reports to the authorities.

Compliance with the law

Lightpiece complies with applicable child safety laws and regulations, and cooperates with law enforcement investigating child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Child safety contact

Our team designated for child safety can be reached through Contact us at the bottom of this page. Questions about these standards, and requests from law enforcement, reach the same people who act on reports.
